Art in Motion: Seven Days of Live Creativity at Souk Madinat Jumeirah
From 7 to 13 November, Souk Madinat Jumeirah will transform into a living, open-air studio for Art in Motion, a seven-day celebration of the UAE’s most talented artists creating in real time. Each evening from 5 to 9 pm, visitors can watch artists at work, join interactive sessions and see the Souk’s waterfront corridors come alive with sound and colour.

The programme gathers seven artists across seven days, each bringing their own vision and technique to the theme of connection through art. Emirati sculptor Azza Al Qubaisi opens the week with Express Yourself on the Palm, a workshop where participants will create using natural materials like sand, leaves and rope to symbolise unity and co-creation.

On 8 November, photographer Marta Lamovšek leads Daughter of the Dunes, a portrait workshop exploring identity and empowerment through styling and storytelling. Nathaniel Alapide (9 November) invites guests to shape Sands of Time, a sweeping sand artwork blending Dubai’s skyline with the region’s natural landscapes, while mosaic artist Rany Melad (10 November) guides visitors in assembling The Silent Grace, a large-scale handcrafted mural built tile by tile.

On 11 November, resin artist Aga Korycka’s "Falcon - Born of Sea and Sand" celebrates the UAE’s coastal beauty through sculptural forms made from driftwood, shells and resin. The final two days bring painter Moosa Al Halyan’s dynamic equine compositions in Neigh (12 November) and calligrapher Ghaleb Hawila’s The Dirham (13 November), a participatory artwork inscribed with the phrase “Unity is strength, through it nations are built and people prosper.”

Amid the artistic energy, visitors will be able to explore Souk Madinat’s eclectic mix of boutiques, waterfront restaurants and cafés or try Cinnabon UAE’s limited-edition Matcha Collection, featuring flavours like Ube Matcha and Okinawa Matcha. A dedicated kids’ corner ensures even the youngest visitors can create, play and take part in the celebration
Running until Union Day on 3 December, Art in Motion offers a new way to experience the UAE’s creative heartbeat.
